About the Downtown Leadership Club

As we look forward to the changing political landscape on the Chicago City Council, it is important to support elected officials who are making a difference and moving the city forward.  Alderman Brendan Reilly is one of those leaders.

Since his election in 2007, Alderman Reilly has made great progress transforming downtown Chicago a more business-friendly, global destination while caring for the needs of his downtown residential and business constituents.

The 42nd Ward is the City of Chicago’s Central Business District – home to a unique and growing blend of residential neighborhoods and thriving mixed-use commercial corridors.  Reilly recognizes the importance of providing efficient services and assistance to downtown stakeholders.  Given the City’s fiscal constraints, Alderman Reilly must subsidize his office and staffing budgets through his campaign fund.

Thanks to the continued support of Downtown Leadership Club (DLC) members, he is able to raise the funds needed to properly staff and operate his Constituent Office, an office that serves nearly 100,000 downtown residents & 34,000 businesses.

The DLC is an annual membership.  Members of the DLC reflect the diversity of our ward consisting of everything from sole proprietorships to Fortune 100 companies.  Currently there are over 100 DLC members and 20 members of the Leadership Circle.  Members are invited to meet with top state and local leaders to discuss critical issues affecting them.
